2026 University Hire (U.S.) - Mechanical Engineer

Bechtel Corporation is a global leader in engineering and construction, having completed over 25,000 projects worldwide since 1898. They are seeking an entry-level Mechanical Engineer to perform assignments that develop professional knowledge and skills through engineering calculations and techniques while working under supervision on various mechanical engineering tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Selecting and specifying equipment
• Preparing flow or detailed system piping and instrumentation diagrams
• Performing system and equipment sizing calculations
• Establishing facility design requirements and develop the system safety basis
• Reviewing supplier designs
• Preparing ventilation and instrumentation diagrams
• Performing corrosion and erosion evaluations for systems and equipment

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering from an accredited college or university within the past twelve (12) months or upcoming twelve (12) months
• Ability and willingness to relocate and/or travel to domestic and/or international project jobsites
• Possess the eligibility to work and remain in the US without visa sponsorship, now or in the future
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
• Master of Science degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering from an accredited college or university within the past twelve (12) months or upcoming twelve (12) months
• Prior co-op or internship experience
• Completed relevant coursework with a strong GPA
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
