Splitit is a payment platform aiming to help consumers use their existing credit to make payments in smaller amounts. They are seeking a Senior Business Development Manager, Financial Institutions to launch and scale a new business focused on delivering installment credit card and lending solutions to banks and credit unions.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and engage prospective bank and credit union partners. Build and manage a pipeline of qualified opportunities through outbound outreach, industry networking, referrals, and strategic relationship development
- Lead opportunities through discovery, solution positioning, business case development, proposal creation, negotiation, and contract execution. Collaborate with leadership throughout the sales process to advance strategic opportunities
- Develop relationships with stakeholders across lending, payments, digital banking, product, and executive leadership teams. Establish Splitit as a trusted partner and advisor
- Represent Splitit at industry events and develop relationships across the banking, credit union, fintech, and payments ecosystem. Share customer feedback and market insights to help shape commercial strategy and identify new growth opportunities
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, or enterprise sales within fintech, payments, lending, banking, or related technology sectors
- Demonstrated success generating pipeline, navigating complex buying processes, and closing new business
- Entrepreneurial, self-motivated, and excited by the opportunity to help build a new business and distribution channel from the ground up
- Strong communicator and relationship builder who can establish credibility with stakeholders from operators to executives
- Actively using AI-powered tools to improve prospecting, account research, productivity, and sales effectiveness
- Willingness to travel as needed
