Hart, Inc. is a health tech company seeking a Marketing Manager specializing in communications to enhance their market authority through high-quality content creation. The role involves developing thought leadership articles, press releases, and media materials while collaborating with executives and industry experts to craft compelling narratives for healthcare audiences.
Responsibilities:
- Develop authoritative blog articles and long-form content on topics relevant to healthcare IT leaders, including EHR data migration, archival, interoperability, data accessibility, healthcare mergers and acquisitions, system decommissioning, disaster recovery, and healthcare data infrastructure
- Interview Hart executives, subject matter experts, clients, and partners to uncover market insights, customer challenges, technical differentiators, and compelling story angles
- Create content that supports both traditional SEO and answer engine optimization, including content structured for discoverability in AI-generated search, industry queries, and executive-level research
- Write in a voice that is credible, clear, educational, and aligned with the needs of CIOs, CMIOs, CFOs, health information leaders, IT directors, and operational executives
- Draft press releases for product announcements, partnerships, customer wins, milestones, executive appointments, thought leadership campaigns, and market commentary
- Develop supporting media materials such as story briefs, executive quote banks, company backgrounders, contributed article outlines, award submissions, and analyst-ready summaries
- Help identify timely hooks tied to industry trends, regulatory changes, EHR vendor movement, healthcare consolidation, cybersecurity, interoperability, and data modernization
- Identify relevant journalists, editors, trade publications, podcasts, newsletters, and media outlets covering healthcare IT, digital health, hospital operations, data infrastructure, and health system transformation
- Develop targeted pitches that position Hart executives and subject matter experts as credible sources for commentary and contributed content
- Support outreach to news outlets and industry publications with story ideas, expert commentary, bylined article concepts, and interview opportunities
- Track media opportunities and recommend ways Hart can participate in timely conversations across the health tech landscape
- Contribute to Hart’s content strategy by recommending article topics, keyword themes, question-based content, and authority-building content clusters
- Optimize content for executive search behavior, AI answer engines, healthcare technology queries, and industry-specific terminology
- Ensure content demonstrates expertise, credibility, originality, and relevance to healthcare decision makers
- Repurpose major content themes into derivative assets such as LinkedIn posts, executive commentary, email copy, sales enablement summaries, and short-form insights
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in journalism, healthcare communications, health tech content, public relations, or editorial strategy
- A strong portfolio of published work in healthcare technology, digital health, health IT, hospital operations, healthcare data, interoperability, EHRs, cybersecurity, or related fields
- Experience writing for executive audiences, particularly CIOs, CMIOs, CFOs, health information leaders, IT directors, and healthcare operations leaders
- Strong understanding of how healthcare organizations evaluate technology vendors, manage EHR transitions, modernize data infrastructure, and address data accessibility challenges
- Demonstrated ability to turn complex technical and operational topics into clear, compelling, and credible narratives
- Experience drafting press releases, contributed articles, media pitches, and executive thought leadership
- Familiarity with SEO best practices, content authority signals, and emerging answer engine optimization strategies
- Ability to work independently, interview subject matter experts, synthesize complex ideas, and deliver polished content with minimal oversight
- Existing relationships with healthcare IT publications, trade media, editors, analysts, or industry newsletters is strongly preferred
