Software Engineer

Ideogram is a company dedicated to making world-class design accessible through generative AI. As a Software Engineer, you'll create products that empower creators and build infrastructure for model development, focusing on user experiences and backend optimizations.

Responsibilities:

• Build the products that put generative AI directly into the hands of creators
• Build the infrastructure that will allow us to accelerate model development
• Work across the entire stack, from crafting delightful user experiences to optimizing backend systems that serve millions
• Combine product instinct with strong technical ownership, user empathy, and the ability to move fast in an evolving AI landscape
• Navigate ambiguity and turn open-ended problems into concrete technical direction
• Know when to add structure and when to keep things simple
• Keep unnecessary complexity out of the system
• Bridge the gap between product intent and technical reality
• Help others get value from AI tools without overengineering
• Self-starter who takes initiative to identify opportunities and drive them to completion
• Operate with urgency to ship incremental value and iterate based on real user feedback
• Be comfortable working with minimal direction in a fast-moving environment
• Take responsibility for outcomes, not just code, caring about whether users love what you build
• Explain technical concepts to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders
