The role involves designing and building modern, responsive user experiences, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and influencing product direction within the Assessments Technology team.
Responsibilities:
- Design and build modern, responsive user experiences using React and contemporary front-end development practices
- Create intuitive, accessible, and high-performing interfaces that delight learners and customers
- Collaborate closely with Product, UX, and Engineering teams to transform ideas into impactful features
- Own features from concept through deployment, taking a full lifecycle approach to development
- Lead technical discussions and contribute to front-end architecture and design decisions
- Mentor engineers and help elevate engineering standards across the team
- Champion code quality through testing, code reviews, and continuous improvement
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and software quality
- Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies and contribute to a highly collaborative engineering culture
Requirements:
- Strong experience building modern web applications with React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
- Passion for creating exceptional user experiences and solving customer problems through thoughtful design and engineering
- Experience designing scalable, maintainable front-end architectures
- Ability to translate business requirements and user needs into elegant technical solutions
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to technical leadership within a team
- Comfort working in Agile environments and partnering closely with cross-functional teams
- Experience with modern engineering tools and practices such as GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and cloud-based architectures
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal, as you'll be collaborating with an international team
- Familiarity with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, MongoDB, MySQL, and DevOps practices is a plus
- Comfortable using AI-powered engineering tools as part of your daily workflow
