ATG (Applied Technology Group) is a leading technology partner for the Architectural, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry in North America. They are seeking a high-autonomy DevOps Engineer to enhance their cloud delivery ecosystem, focusing on the operational health of CI/CD pipelines and supporting engineering teams with automated deployment processes.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary owner for pipeline health. You will triage, diagnose, and resolve failed deployments across our multi-cloud stack while constantly looking for high-impact automation opportunities to prevent recurrence
- Support and scale infrastructure across AWS (ECS/EKS, Lambda) and Azure (AKS, App Services). You'll ensure our environments grow gracefully alongside our client needs
- Embed security into the heart of the SDLC. You will manage automated SAST/DAST scanning, secret rotation, and container vulnerability assessments, ensuring compliance is a byproduct of our workflows rather than a hurdle
- Partner with software engineers to refine GitHub Actions workflows. You’ll implement deployment patterns like Canary and Blue/Green releases to ensure a productive and low-stress release environment
- Maintain and extend our Terraform-based resource provisioning. You will focus on modular design and remote state management to keep our multi-cloud footprint organized and reproducible
- Utilize Prometheus, Grafana, Sentry.IO, or Datadog to maintain deep-stack visibility, enabling you to identify root causes before they impact the development team
Requirements:
- 3-5+ Years of Experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or SRE roles
- The 'Automation Mindset': Proven ability to identify and execute automation tasks that significantly improve team velocity and system reliability
- Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience managing and scaling environments in both AWS and Azure
- Infrastructure Tools: Solid competency with Terraform for maintaining enterprise-scale infrastructure
- CI/CD Expertise: Strong working knowledge of GitHub Actions, including OIDC-based cloud authentication and environment protection rules
- Containerization: Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS/AKS) is essential
- Strategic Autonomy: Ability to support a medium-sized development team with low oversight, managing your own timelines and priorities effectively
- Security First Mindset: Practical experience with Zero Trust architectures and automated compliance (SOC2/GDPR)
- Project Management: Document requirements, data flows, and system architecture; Estimate effort accurately and communicate blockers or timeline risks proactively
- Team player: Champion best practices for readable, maintainable, performant, and secure code; Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge across the team; Manage your time effectively and communicate technical trade-offs clearly
