Senior Software Engineer - New Customer Experience

Pantheon is a company that powers over 300,000 websites globally, serving notable organizations like Google and the United Nations. They are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to enhance the customer experience on their platform by revamping how new customers discover, evaluate, and onboard their services. The role involves working with various technologies including Python, GraphQL, and cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud.

Responsibilities:

• Improving the end-to-end experience for new customers adopting the Pantheon platform
• Completely revamping how customers discover, evaluate, onboard, and get value from our product
• Working on a variety of technologies, including Python services, our GraphQL gateway, authentication and authorization systems using Auth0, and infrastructure managed with Terraform on Google Cloud

Requirements:

• 5-8+ years of professional experience in software development
• Advanced proficiency in programming languages such as Python, GoLang, or JavaScript
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, data structures, and algorithms
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., GCP, AWS) and container orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes)
• Experience with RESTful and Graphql APIs
• Proven ability to independently solve problems and drive projects to completion
• Experience with authentication and authorization systems, including Auth0
• Passion for continuous learning on a diverse technical stack
• Desire to build new features and push the capabilities of the product forward
• Capacity to work carefully and meticulously, to ensure products are reliable and well tested, and deployments are stable
• Good writing skills, to contribute to technical documentation
• Ability to work well with cross-functional teams
