Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Pinnacle Technology is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to ensure the reliability and availability of gas turbine components through advanced analysis and data-driven decisions. The role involves performing finite element analysis, conducting life assessments, and leading root cause analyses while communicating complex technical findings for design reviews.

Responsibilities:

• Perform high-fidelity finite element analysis (FEA) under thermal and mechanical conditions
• Conduct life assessments: LCF/HCF, creep, oxidation, and fracture mechanics
• Execute dynamic analyses (modal, forced response) and develop Campbell diagrams
• Lead/support root cause analysis (RCA) and provide urgent field engineering support
• Communicate complex technical findings clearly for design reviews

Requirements:

• B.S. in Mechanical/Aerospace (M.S. preferred)
• 4+ years in design, FEA (ANSYS), and NX CAD
• Experience with RCA, GD&T, engineering drawings, stackups
• Familiarity with PLM/Teamcenter tools
• Strong communication and teamwork skills (global/service environment)
• Must be a US person (export-controlled materials)
• Must: ANSYS (Classic & FEA), NX, analytical tools, export control compliance
