Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for an
Engineering Program Manager for a
contract assignment with one of our premier SaaS clients in San Jose, CA. This is a hybrid role with Tuesday - Thursdays onsite.
Responsibilities: - Release & Engineering Operations
- Manage end-to-end release readiness processes, including planning, execution tracking, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
- Partner closely with Engineering and Quality Engineering teams to ensure successful delivery and release of product capabilities.
- Drive operational processes around testing, validation, bug management, launch readiness, and post-release reviews.
- Maintain visibility into release health, testing status, and critical path dependencies.
- Stakeholder Management
- Build strong partnerships across globally distributed teams.
- Facilitate decision-making, manage trade-offs, and drive accountability.
- Communicate program status and risks clearly to the cross-functional teams.
- Process Improvement
- Continuously evaluate and improve operational processes, workflows, and tools to increase team effectiveness and execution velocity.
- Drive scalable practices for planning, tracking, and delivery.
- Drive accountability through clear ownership, action tracking, and operational rigor.
Required Skills: - 5+ years of experience in Program Management, Engineering Operations, Technical Program Management, or related roles.
- Experience managing complex engineering programs and product releases.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, release management, testing processes, and engineering operations.
- Experience working closely with Engineering, Product Management, and Quality Engineering teams.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to work independently, navigate ambiguity, and drive results.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence/Wiki, and project tracking tools.
- Bachelor's Degree
