Green Thumb Industries (GTI) is seeking a Project Manager for Land Use Entitlements to join their Retail & Commercial Development team. This role involves managing permitting processes for new store openings and coordinating with various stakeholders to support the development of new RISE dispensaries and related projects.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct municipal and regulatory code research as needed for cross functional teams
- Support creation of municipal presentations and zoning exhibits as needed to support submissions
- Assist with preparation and submission of applications to various agencies having jurisdiction over required permits and/or approvals
- Provide real estate team with zoning site verification to confirm desired property is zoned appropriately and meets all local and state requirements for cannabis siting
- Work with architects, engineers, and expeditors to facilitate the permit application process
- Work closely with the municipalities on the status of permits and ensure they are processed in a timely manner
- Clearly communicate project status, timelines, and issues to internal and external stakeholders through written and verbal updates
- Produce and maintain schedules for all projects and coordinate with municipalities from approval to final stages of permitting process
- Accurately project dates and notify construction team of likely permit issue dates to target construction mobilization
- Manage and develop tracking and documentation/reporting of permitting status for our new store openings, remodels, conversions
- Maintain and keep up to date all internal files relating to applications, approvals, and permits
Requirements:
- 5+ years of permitting/compliance experience with general contractor, retailer, or comparable paralegal experience
- Knowledge of the construction industry a must
- Ability to read and understand construction documents
- Exceptional problem-solving skills – an analytical, innovative, and creative mindset
- Ability to structure and manage intensive workloads
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft suite of tools including Excel and PowerPoint
- Highly motivated, self-directed, innovative and able to work independently or among teams with keen judgement, common sense and resourcefulness
- Adapts and thrives in a demanding, fast-paced environment
- Operates with a high level of professionalism and integrity, including dealing with confidential information
- Must understand and comply with the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of Green Thumb
- Must have a solid understanding of cannabis laws, rules and regulations and passion to further your understanding and knowledge of the industry and the laws
- Must pass any and all required background checks
- Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
- Must possess valid driver's license
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
- Must be approved by state badging agency to work in cannabis industry
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
