HR Manager (Remote)

Knexus is a federal contracting company that values innovation and work-life balance. They are seeking an autonomous and tech-savvy HR Manager to oversee HR operations, ensuring compliance across multiple states and managing the employee lifecycle in a remote environment.

Responsibilities:

• Navigate Complex Regulations: Oversee HR compliance across multiple U.S. states. Proactively research, interpret, and implement policies for new states as our footprint expands
• Rigorous Quality Control: Review and maintain company handbooks, employment agreements, and state-specific compliance mandates
• Risk Management: Ensure the business remains fully aligned with evolving federal, state, and local labor laws
• Onboarding & Offboarding: Own the end-to-end lifecycle processes. Ensure new hires feel welcomed and integrated into our remote culture from day one, and manage offboarding with empathy, compliance, and administrative precision
• Performance Evaluation Cycle: Lead, design, and execute our annual/mid-year performance evaluation cycles, ensuring managers and employees are aligned on growth and accountability
• Friendly but Firm Approach: Act as a trusted, accessible partner for employees while confidently upholding company policies, compliance boundaries, and business objectives
• Smart Tool Utilization: Sensibly evaluate and integrate modern tools (including AI and HRIS automations) to streamline administrative workflows, generate basic templates, and eliminate manual redundancy
