Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. is a global leader in tools and manufacturing, and they are seeking a Customer Service Specialist to support their operational rhythms. The role involves answering customer inquiries, processing orders, and assisting in training new employees to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Process customer and internal requests in a positive and professional manner, while adhering to Stanley Black & Decker’s Code of Business Ethics
- The ability to spend an average of 4 hours a day answering incoming calls and execute outgoing calls in support of customers, Sales, and supplier and peers in a timely manner to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
- Assist the team and help other members to increase their knowledge and overcome roadblocks
- Process returns, replacement orders, customer requests for literature/information/technical support/order status and pricing
- Process shipment inquiries including, but not limited to, freight calculations, expedite orders, return authorizations, and delays
- Enter credit card transactions while ensuring accuracy
- Ability to learn/recognize multiple brands of equipment for industrial applications
- Maintain working knowledge of company products, policies, services, and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Minimum 3+ years of Customer Service role
- Self-starter with ability to work independently
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with emphasis on Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong communication skills – written and verbal
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Commitment to Customer Service
- Patience and a positive work attitude
- Occasional travel for onsite trainings required
- SAP and SalesForce experience preferred
