The Role
We’re searching for a hands-on, guest-focused Café Manager to lead day-to-day operations at Spark’d. The ideal candidate is both a team leader and service champion, bringing energy, organization, and creativity to every shift. You’ll lead a small, talented team and help shape the experience of one of Wilmington’s most beloved coffee destinations.
What You’ll Do:
- Oversee daily café operations, including staffing, scheduling, and service standards
- Lead and develop a team of baristas and bakery associates, providing coaching and support
- Monitor product quality, inventory, and ordering to ensure consistency and freshness
- Uphold cleanliness, organization, and compliance with health and safety regulations
- Foster an engaging guest experience that reflects the HOTEL DU PONT’s legacy of excellence
- Collaborate with culinary and marketing teams to support promotions and seasonal menu updates
Who You Are:
- A natural leader with prior experience in café, bakery, or quick-service management
- Passionate about hospitality, with strong communication and people development skills
- Organized and agile—able to shift gears quickly while staying focused on the big picture
- Comfortable with POS systems, inventory processes, and basic financial reporting
- Enthusiastic about coffee, pastry, and creating exceptional guest moments
