ROLE OVERVIEW
The Loss Prevention & EHS Supervisor plays a critical role in overseeing physical security, shrink reduction programs and established safety standards within their location. The Loss Prevention & EHS Supervisor collaborates with operations and support teams to mitigate inventory shrinkage and protect bottom line profits as well as ensuring safety guidelines are adhered to; fostering a strong safety culture throughout the location. The Loss Prevention & EHS Supervisor must demonstrate an ability to cultivate trust and confidence while influencing change through comprehensive risk assessments, shrink data analysis and safety assessments.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
• Foster a loss prevention rich environment that inspires a culture of commitment to safety and shrink reduction
• Influence, guide and make recommendations on loss prevention programs that do not hinder operations
• Manage daily, weekly and monthly LP metrics and reports
• Identify and evaluate areas that are causing or could lead to shrink or negatively impact the safety culture
• Manage security staff and assist in maintenance and coordination of physical security programs
• Identify, promote and implement physical security best practices
• Verify inventory integrity within location
• Monitor behavior and report unusual activity
• Develop and implement loss prevention programs and processes as needed
• Utilize CCTV and exception reports to mitigate shrink
• Manage all internal and external investigation programs targeting reduction of theft and fraud
• Support efforts to ensure compliance with applicable federal and state regulations; identify and inform management of compliance issues, safety risks and improvement opportunities through daily, weekly and monthly audits
• Serve as a location Subject Matter Expert for Safety on the floor with employees
• Lead the site’s Safety Committee and serve as associate support to the Safety Committee
• Lead the site’s First Responder team and ensure compliance with all required certifications
• Serve as contact for all governmental or outside safety inspections; act as representative of the facility for any local community safety council or committees
• Identify and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices in the facility; conduct and coordinate on-site inspections to audit physical conditions and safe work practices
• Develop controls for identified hazards; coordinate the implementation of controls that result from hazard analysis; measure and evaluate the effectiveness of hazard control systems, policies, and procedures, and recommend changes that reduce associate exposure to unsafe conditions
• Conduct risk assessments related to jobs performed and new equipment introductions; recommend appropriate risk mitigation measures to management, including ergonomic considerations
• Partner with Human Resources to manage all workers’ compensation claims
• Lead accident and incident investigations utilizing the 5 Why system; compile, analyze, interpret and report all accidents and findings; track and assist in the implementation of corrective actions
• Provide or facilitate immediate aid for associates, visitors, vendors, or guests that need assistance or medical attention
• Support orientation and training of new hires and athletes in new roles
• Maintain 5S database and perform 5S audits for all areas on a weekly basis
• Conduct training and coach associates on work habits that comply with governing body regulations and Fanatics policies; present training on all OSHA required topics reflecting Fanatics SOPs
• Participate in departmental projects across the network
• Performs general housekeeping and department six sigma activities
• Adheres to all Department and Company Standards, Operating Procedures and Safety Requirements
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM:
• Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, industrial safety or a related field required, or 2+ years’ work experience minimum
• Wicklander-Zulwaski certification preferred
• LPQ/LPC preferred
• Possess a strong ability to self-manage and proactively adjust focuses when needed
• Ability to handle crisis situations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort interfacing with site leaders
• Ability to work flexible hours (including weekends and holidays)
• Proficient with Microsoft products
• Strong ability to multitask
• Ability to handle confidential information
• Industrial Environmental Health and Safety experience preferred
• Experience working in a warehouse or distribution center environment is a plus
• Able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision
• Possess technical expertise in implementing safety controls; ability to apply knowledge to continually improve safety processes
• Knowledgeable of OSHA standards
• Must be available to handle facility-related emergencies
