2nd shift - Quality Etching Associate

Analyzing and verifying the quality of final welded fabrications.  This is done through sectioning, etching, and software analysis of prepared samples.

 

MAJOR RESPONSBILITIES:

• Schedules for daily activities to meet specified weekly and monthly requirements
• Uses the band saw to section weldments
• Applies acid to samples for etching purposes
• Verifies weld penetration both visually and with the use of etching software
• Communicates results to Engineering and Quality
• Records results to maintain IATF16949 standard compliance
• Calibration as needed
• Product sorting as required under the direction of Quality personnel
• Product Inspection as required under the direction of Quality personnel
• Process Inspections as scheduled
• Adhere to 5S standards for workspace cleanliness
• All other duties as assigned

 

I.                    QUALIFICATIONS

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• Good quality and attendance records
• Computer experience
• Ability to work different shifts, if needed
• Ability to communicate and work well with others via written or verbal method
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to use Quality hand measurement tools
• Be open to attending off-site training

Environmental Conditions

• Non-temperature-controlled manufacturing facility.
• Must wear eye, ear, and foot protection.
