You will be working for UBS GRESC – specifically our Sustainability team – in our Krakow office. Our function is part of Group Human Resources & Corporate Services within Group Functions.
GRESC Sustainability is responsible for driving UBS’ sustainability strategy for our own operations. We manage activities that impact our environment, including energy consumption, emissions from travel, waste generation, and the impact of our supply chain. We monitor, coordinate, and provide central support to the Environmental Management System (EMS), while our regional and local specialists handle the implementation and execution of daily environmental management activities.
More broadly, GRESC supports UBS by driving the real estate and PropTech strategy, as well as all related services globally (e.g., facility management). We manage the Strategic Delivery Locations globally, comprising UBS and vendor-operated delivery sites that provide offshored and outsourced services to the rest of UBS. Additionally, we advance our global procurement strategy, identifying and delivering sourcing opportunities that provide optimal value and drive digitalization through our platforms.
We’re looking for a candidate who:
• Has an awareness of global sustainability and decarbonization trends, preferably in the financial sector.
• Is interested in developing an in-depth understanding of energy management systems, particularly ISO 50001 standards.
• Can identify inefficient or ineffective ways of working, and create and implement improvements.
• Is proficient in analysing data and drawing insightful conclusions in support of specified objectives.
• Is able to collaborate with a range of stakeholders and build consensus, through the preparation and presentation of clear, data-driven reports and recommendations.
We’re looking for someone who’s curious and wants to thrive in a business that never stops moving. We welcome all majors, but it’s important to have an interest in the financial and/or environmental industries. We want to see what makes you unique and discover what you can bring to our team.
UBS is a leading and truly global wealth manager and the leading universal bank in Switzerland. We also provide diversified asset management solutions and focused investment banking capabilities. Headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland, UBS is present in more than 50 markets around the globe.
We know that great work is never done alone. That’s why we place collaboration at the heart of everything we do. Because together, we’re more than ourselves. Want to find out more? Visit ubs.com/careers.
