Advisor360° is a leading SaaS platform in the fintech space that transforms how wealth management firms operate. They are seeking a Senior Product Designer to define the user experience for an AI assistant within their platform, focusing on product design, AI behavior design, and design system engineering.
Responsibilities:
- Own the experience definition for your product team — determine how advisors and clients interact with the platform, from AI message rendering to multi-modal response containers, before a single pixel is handed off
- Define how the AI assistant participates as a UX actor — design the visual and behavioral patterns that distinguish AI messages from human ones, surface tool execution in-thread, and handle streaming responses gracefully
- Design for three participants — advisor, client, and AI — each with distinct information needs, permission levels, and interaction patterns, including intent previews, confidence indicators, and progressive disclosure in chat
- Build and maintain a design system built for agent consumption — semantic naming conventions, design token architecture, Auto Layout for responsive intent, and CLAUDE.md-encoded instructions that make the system executable by AI agents
- Create predictability within uncertainty — establish structural consistency in tone, format, and response shape so users can build a mental model they trust even when AI output varies
- Prototype fast and evaluate running builds — use Claude Code, Figma MCP, or equivalent AI tools to go from concept to testable artifact without waiting for engineering, then validate on functional prototypes rather than static mockups
- Champion accessibility from the ground up — encode WCAG AA compliance into the token architecture by default, and own the UX-side of AI content distinguishability for regulatory purposes
- Stay one sprint upstream — the next feature's UX is defined and approved before the current one ships, keeping the PM and Tech Lead unblocked and aligned
Requirements:
- 5+ years of product design experience, with a portfolio that demonstrates systems thinking alongside strong visual and interaction craft
- Demonstrated experience designing for AI or ML-driven products — you understand non-deterministic systems and have designed correction and redirection affordances before
- Deep hands-on fluency with Figma, including component architecture, design variables/tokens, and Auto Layout
- Experience building or contributing to a shared design system, including governance, documentation, and cross-team adoption
- Ability to prototype in code or with AI-assisted tools — you don't wait for engineering to test a concept
- Strong product instincts — you can evaluate a plan's UX implications in a technical review, not just in a design critique
- Experience designing conversational UI or chat-based interfaces, particularly in enterprise or regulated industries
- Familiarity with WCAG AA standards and designing for accessibility at the system level
- Exposure to financial services, wealthtech, or other compliance-sensitive product environments
- Experience authoring structured AI-readable documentation (CLAUDE.md, prompt-based design governance, or equivalent)
