Dice is seeking an experienced Data Engineer III to join an Enterprise Data team focused on modernizing and consolidating cloud-based data platforms. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines and ingestion frameworks to support analytics and reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, maintain, and optimize scalable and reliable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows
- Develop and enhance cloud-based data ingestion frameworks using AWS data services, including Glue and DataSync
- Build and support data solutions using Snowflake, dbt, and modern data engineering platforms
- Implement ingestion strategies for structured and unstructured data from databases, APIs, and streaming sources
- Ensure data quality, accuracy, security, and compliance across enterprise data platforms
- Develop and maintain scalable data models supporting analytics, reporting, and business intelligence needs
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data pipelines, ingestion jobs, workflows, and data processing
- Monitor data ecosystem performance and perform performance tuning to identify and resolve bottlenecks
- Support real-time and near real-time data delivery requirements
- Integrate operational and QoS telemetry datasets to improve visibility and reporting capabilities
- Apply data governance standards, regulatory compliance requirements, and security best practices
- Partner with technical and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver scalable data architectures
- Provide technical guidance, communicate project status, and drive ownership of assigned deliverables
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering designing and supporting scalable data solutions
- Strong hands-on experience with: Snowflake, SQL, Python, dbt, ETL / ELT processes, Data Modeling
- Experience designing and developing enterprise-scale data pipelines
- Strong understanding of: Data ingestion frameworks, Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes, Workflow orchestration, Data quality management, Data governance
- Experience working with: Apache Kafka, Apache NiFi / Apache Flow-based tools, Streaming and batch processing frameworks
- Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) data services
- Experience handling structured and unstructured data sources
- Knowledge of databases, messaging platforms, and real-time data processing
- Experience with analytics, reporting, and operational data solutions
- Ability to perform data platform troubleshooting and performance optimization
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience building cloud-native enterprise data platforms
- Familiarity with: AWS Glue, AWS DataSync, Snowflake schema concepts, Modern data architecture patterns
- Experience supporting artificial intelligence and advanced analytics workloads
- Exposure to Apache HTTP Server and related infrastructure technologies
