Job Title: Senior Endpoint Infrastructure Engineer (Microsoft)

TalentFish is currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Endpoint Engineer for our premier global client! This is a 6-month+ contract role that is primarily remote. Candidates within driving distance of Chicago, IL who are open to attend potential in-person team-building events or meetings.
Overview
- The Senior Endpoint Infrastructure Engineer will play a pivotal role in ensuring completion key tasks and initiatives.
- This role requires Expert Level knowledge and hands-on experience in MS SCCM and MS Intune.
- The ideal candidate is a Microsoft technologies endpoint expert with excellent communication skills, a passion for completing tasks and initiatives, and strives to maintain a collaborative team culture.
What You Bring to the Role. (Ideal Experience)
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
- 5-7+ years of proven experience as an Endpoint Engineer, End User Computing Engineer, SCCM Engineer or similar role.
- Intune & SCCM Subject Matter Expert (SME) highly preferred.
- Architect mindset with experience designing and implementing new technologies within an Engineering or Architecture role, such as Autopilot migration and other implementations that were based on moving more into the cloud from on-prem.
- Solid knowledge & hands-on experience with the following:
- SCCM/Intune design
- Intune & Autopilot, including working on Autopilot profiles
- MDM for iOS and Androids with Intune. Must know how to create Intune policies and understand how to manage co-managed devices.
- Cloud Gateway Management (CGM) and knowledge on setup proces
- Configuration Manager (CM & SCCM)
- Azure, VDI Azure is highly preferred

What You Will Do (Skills Used in this Position)
- PC and software asset management.
- Engineering of MEM/MECM (SCCM) environments.
- Policy management of devices using AD GPO and Intune.
- Directory management within Azure/Active Directory.
- Report creation/enhancements of the various technologies under End User Engineering support (Incidents, devices, patches, etc.).
Strategic and Architectural Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and implementation of new technologies and solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and strategies.
- Develop and maintain architectural standards and best practices for endpoint management and infrastructure.
- Provide strategic guidance and technical leadership to the engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Project Management Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project scope and budget.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, objectives, and deliverables.
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Communicate project status and updates to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
- Incident resolution and problem management of items escalated by L1/L2 support staff.
- Product and software research and investigation.
- Perform other duties as requested.
Compensation and Employment
Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without need of current or future visa sponsorship. The expected hourly rate for this position is $55 - $75 per hour W2 based on experience and qualifications.
