Barry-Wehmiller is a diversified global supplier of engineering consulting and manufacturing technology. They are seeking an ERP Business Process Analyst to lead the implementation and optimization of their enterprise systems, ensuring alignment with best practices while translating complex business requirements into scalable solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Understand "As-Is" workflows and design "To-Be" processes that leverage ERP standard functionalities to eliminate manual work and promote business best practices
- Lead sessions to define business functional requirements and scope
- In partnership with the broader IT organization, support the full lifecycle of ERP, including functional system configuration, data migration, and system integration
- Identify discrepancies between business needs and system capabilities; recommend "out-of-the-box" solutions vs. custom enhancements as the preferred method, where possible
- Develop ERP-related business process flows and test scripts to ensure the system meets business criteria. Support the development of training materials for ongoing deployments of the ERP system
- Act as a subject matter expert to train end-users and create documentation that ensures high adoption rates
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or other technical fields, such as Engineering
- 10+ years of combined experience in the above functional areas in either business and/or IT roles, including business analysis, requirements management, and ERP solution design (Microsoft Dynamics preferred; SAP or other ERP system is acceptable)
- Deep understanding of project management best practices within engineer-to-order / configure-to-order environments
- Strong knowledge of product costing methods (including actual costing), with complementary expertise in upstream production execution as well as broad finance functions
- Solid understanding of key master data elements and their relationships influencing those processes
- Full understanding of the specific functional area system set up or configuration and its impact on the data and behavior of that respective module
- Proficient in ERP system understanding, data mapping concepts/techniques, MS Office tools, and other related items, such as BI reporting tools
- Ability to see how a change in one module (e.g., Inventory) impacts another (e.g., Finance)
- Ability to clearly communicate complex concepts or 'tech-speak' into plain English for stakeholders and vice versa
- A proactive approach to solving diverse types of issues including system, business process, and data integrity issues
- Previous experience implementing ERP systems in a capital equipment manufacturing environment
- Direct experience with Microsoft Dynamics ERP implementations
- Deep understanding of Business Process Reengineering (BPR) and Lean methodologies
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification for continuous process improvement
