The DevSecOps/Cybersecurity Engineer will provide engineering support for cybersecurity solutions, integrating security practices into software development and operations while managing secure CI/CD pipelines and cloud environments.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver designs, architectures, installation, and maintenance of cybersecurity solutions through coordination with clients and the project team
- Integrate Security Controls into CI/CD pipelines
- Assist in secure code reviews and vulnerability remediation
- Promote shift left security practices in development
- Document security controls and processes
- Act as point for technical issues from clients and other system engineers
- Manage client expectations regarding solution functionality, deployment processes, and realistic timelines
- Support testing of new version releases and updates to installation documentation
- Collaborate with Leadership Team to review and contribute to Product Roadmaps
- Review and update STIG requirements and checklists
- Document identified vulnerabilities per STIG requirements
- Ability to recognize and remediate inefficiencies through automation
- Ability to stay up to date with customer communications
- Support implementation, configuration, and deployment activities
- Prepare status updates and post-project documentation
- Ability to self-study documentation, including compliance and regulatory documentation
Requirements:
- Knowledge of encryption, authentication, and secure ports, protocols, and services
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Linux/Windows system administration basics
- Container Security (Dockers, Kubernetes)
- GitHub, Gitlab, and Ansible experience
- Python, Bash, Go experience
- Vulnerability Scanner experience
- 2 years troubleshooting experience for both routine and complex problems
- Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate across teams
- Attention to detail
- Ability to think outside the box and innovate
- Must possess an active DoD Secret clearance
- Candidates shall possess or be able to obtain a DOD “Secret” (or equivalent) clearance
- Must be a United States citizen
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields preferred
- SIEM platform experience is a plus
