Senior Engineering Manager - 18510
Description
Responsible for the leadership and integration of manufacturing engineering and production planning functions, including development of manufacturing processes, production scheduling, resource allocation, and operational execution. Ensures manufacturing methods meet design objectives while optimizing production schedules, capacity, cost, and delivery performance. Drives cross-functional coordination with Supply Chain, Operations, Quality, and Engineering to support program and enterprise objectives.
What you will be responsible for:
- Lead and manage manufacturing engineering and production planning teams to ensure effective execution.
- Develop and implement manufacturing methods, tooling, and processes.
- Establish and maintain production master schedules.
- Manage routing development, labor standards, and line balancing.
- Coordinate production schedules, manpower, materials, and equipment.
- Monitor production progress and adjust schedules.
- Partner with Supply Chain on material availability and risk mitigation.
- Support product design through DFM/DFA.
- Drive continuous improvement using Lean methodologies.
- Analyze production data and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with FAA and quality standards.
- Manage excess and obsolete inventory.
- Utilize ERP systems for scheduling and tracking.
- Collaborate cross-functionally.
- Provide KPI reporting.
- Lead team development and performance management.
- Promote safety and continuous improvement.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
What you will need to be successful in this role:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or related field.
8+ years of relevant experience.
Leadership and supervisory experience.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing and planning.
ERP (Epicor preferred) and Microsoft Office proficiency.
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
