Senior QA Automation Engineer

Trends in Microbiology is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of their software platforms. The role involves designing and maintaining automated test suites, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to continuous integration pipelines.

Responsibilities:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining automated test suites
• Creating and executing manual test cases when needed
• Collaborating with developers, product managers, and editorial operations to identify defects
• Refining requirements
• Improving overall testing strategies
• Analyzing test results
• Reporting issues
• Contributing to continuous integration and delivery pipelines
• Helping establish best practices for quality assurance across systems

Requirements:

• Strong Quality Assurance and Software Testing skills, with experience defining test strategies and quality standards
• Proficiency in designing and maintaining Test Cases and executing Manual Testing for web-based and backend systems
• Hands-on expertise in QA Automation, including building and integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with common test automation frameworks, scripting languages, and bug-tracking tools
• Solid understanding of SDLC, agile methodologies, and version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage part-time schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional teams
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Prior experience testing publishing, content management, or scientific platforms is beneficial
