Primary Responsibilities
Lead and staff multiple small radar analyst teams to include algorithm development and modeling and simulation activities.
Lead research and development of advanced digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms
High-fidelity radar and RF modeling, simulation, and analysis. Related tool feature development and maintenance
Integration and field testing of RF sensors and systems
CONUS/OCONUS deployment of advanced sensor systems
Basic Qualifications
BS degree from an ABET accredited college or university in Electrical Engineering or related technical field plus 12-15 years of relevant experience or MS degree from an ABET accredited college or university in Electrical Engineering or related technical field plus 6-10 years of relevant experience.
Demonstrated experience in understanding, evaluating, and implementing published scientific literature from sources such as IEEE.
Demonstrated experience leading radar modeling and simulation teams on complex DoW programs.
Demonstrated experience accurately estimating the engineering effort associated with modeling and simulation or algorithm development tasks and tracking progress via an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
Strong understanding of core radar principles, including the radar range equation, signal processing techniques, digital beamforming, and tracking.
Experience working with Matlab, Python, or similar scientific-based programming tools to implement math or scienced based phenomenology related to linear systems, digital signal processing, tracking, or electromagnetics is required.
Ability to create design documentation, requirements specifications, and other technical documentation.
Good communication skills for working in a highly collaborative environment and interfacing with customers and other stakeholders.
Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville – North Alabama, AL, area. This is NOT a remote or work-from-home position.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in high performance computing languages such as C++ including CUDA
Experience in development or operations of radar HWILs
Experience with ADCs, DACs, clock distribution, or embedded systems
Experience utilizing AI tools to augment technical output (i.e. to improve/automate documentation or code generation)
Experience in Radar Resource Management algorithms and approaches to low-latency radar scheduling
MS degree from an ABET accredited college or university in Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
Relevant publications in listed technology areas
Experience in Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD), Space Object Space Identification (SOSI), or Space Domain Awareness (SDA) radar mission sets
