We are expanding our Fraud Intelligence Unit and need passionate fraud fighters to join our team.
Reporting to the Global Fraud Intelligence Director, you will be responsible for researching and investigating global fraud trends to assist in the creation and development of high-impact marketing and thought leadership content that supports our sales and marketing programs. This includes analysing BioCatch data from all geographies to identify key trends, uncover interesting insights, investigate real fraud cases, and ultimately craft compelling, data-driven stories about stopping fraud.
What will you do:
- Analyse BioCatch data on a global and regional level, leveraging AI-assisted analytical tools (where appropriate) to surface patterns and applying your fraud expertise and contextual judgement to validate and interpret findings.
- Conduct research and analysis of data from external sources.
- Apply domain expertise and judgement to identify meaningful, data-driven insights that will drive a variety of industry-leading materials, including our Digital Banking Fraud Trends reports, threat landscapes, and forensic case studies of real-life frauds and scams.
- Create high-quality written content that showcases the results of data analysis, transforming complex data and ideas into clear, compelling stories that resonate with industry practitioners.
- Design and develop unique and effective ways of visualising complex data that enhance our storytelling efforts.
- Present findings in internal forums as well as externally at BioCatch events, using your fraud experience and data insights to establish yourself as a trusted and credible voice of fraud intelligence internally and externally.
- Act as an internal conduit for all intelligence sharing across BioCatch teams.
- Build and maintain a data repository and self-service dashboard, empowering internal teams with access to fraud data, incorporating automation and AI-driven querying capabilities.
- Identify opportunities and implement process efficiencies and automation with regards to data analysis, while ensuring that critical thinking and professional experience guide key investigative decisions and analysis.
- Stay current with emerging AI technologies and proactively identify opportunities to apply them in our workflows.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s/master’s degree in a STEM field and/or self-directed technology-focused education in programming for data analytics, with a passion for fighting fraud.
- Several years’ experience at banks within fraud and/or financial crime departments, with demonstrated experience investigating real fraud cases.
- Experience with SQL to an intermediate/advanced level.
- Experience with Python and/or R (advantageous).
- Hands-on experience with AI tools to support research and analysis, with a clear understanding of their strengths, weaknesses and limitations.
- Strong written and verbal presentation skills.
- Ability to create insightful data visualisations that tell compelling stories.
- Second/third languages preferred.
