Bloomberg delivers critical information in a world where information matters. We give influential decision-makers in business, finance and government a driven edge by connecting them to a dynamic network of information, people and ideas, delivered through innovative technology. Our people work well under pressure and thrive in a team environment.
Bloomberg’s communications team connects our company and insights with financial markets, investor audiences and key stakeholders all over the world. Through this role and that of your peers, you play a critical role in articulating Bloomberg’s contribution to markets, economies and communities – through our philanthropic mission – everywhere.
We are looking for a proactive, responsive and hands-on communicator to develop and execute Southeast Asian regional communications in our highly dynamic firm.
Working as part of the wider Asia-Pacific Communications team and reporting to the Head of Communications for Asia-Pacific, you will be an adviser to senior Southeast Asia leaders across every facet of Bloomberg and have primary responsibility for the firm’s communications strategy and outcomes across the region.

- Lead corporate and product communications campaigns covering the company, financial products and media. This will also include Bloomberg Philanthropies, BloombergNEF and other parts of Bloomberg LP
- Play a key role in Southeast Asian external relations, covering the region’s most influential business and financial press and influencers, as well as other associations and groups
- Lead all regional media and press relations with confidence and precision
- Manage media relations around senior executive visits, produce announcements and customer advocacy
- Play a supporting role in the company’s regional internal communications, working to ensure our internal voice is culturally sensitive and highly relevant to every Bloomberg team member
- Minimum 7 years of experience in public relations, communications or public affairs across Southeast Asia markets, or relevant experience within Bloomberg
- Recent experience working in a multinational or global organization, with the ability to collaborate across cultures, markets, and time zones
- Proven experience in content creation, writing, and editing, with the ability to produce high-quality content in a fast-paced environment
- Experience building and maintaining media and public relationships to support communications objectives across Southeast Asia.
- Experience working in highly regulated or issues-rich industries, such as technology, financial services, healthcare, FMCG and/or legal.
- Sound judgment and an interest in reputation and issues management, with the ability to remain effective and thoughtful in dynamic situations.
- Experience partnering with senior leaders and executives across diverse cultures, backgrounds and markets.
- Strong understanding of how reputational, legal, regulatory, and governmental considerations can influence business decisions and communications strategies.
- Comfortable contributing to both strategic planning and hands-on execution.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships and work effectively across teams, functions, and levels of seniority.
- Ability to work independently, while also contributing positively to a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skill in English
- Demonstrated continuous career growth within an organization
- Bachelor’s degree or degree-equivalent qualifications
- Previous exposure to, or a genuine curiosity about, financial markets, coupled with the ability to translate complex topics into compelling, high-quality thought leadership content.
