Job Summary:
Servant leader and coach to cross-functional teams in their understanding of delivering valuable outcomes through modern delivery practices and product centric operating model. Coaches on frameworks and methodologies, enabling the teams and Product Managers to inspire innovation, high performance and to embrace continuous improvement. When opportunities arise, coaches in organizational change to help the teams embrace agility. Help form the teams, establish practices and norms, ensure focus, facilitate events, identify and manage risks, dependences and remove impediments.
Key Responsibilities:
Establishes lean/agile leadership, supports the Product Manager, and promotes quality practices; Coaches team members on modern delivery practices & provides developmental feedback to team members using a servant leadership style and leading by example. Support Product Managers and teams' backlog refinement and release planning, and identifying tangible and measurable business outcomes across multiple teams. Fosters an environment of mutual respect and cooperation, transparency, and autonomy; Coaches the adoption of product centric operating model reducing the gap between theory and practice; facilitates continuous improvement process and creates the right environment. Monitors and reports key metrics that impact value driven delivery and indicate potential problems; facilitate the creation of definition of done to ensure organizational standards are met for the solution (Documentation, Compliance, Architectural and Governance constraints). Establishes and communicates team progress and goals to keep the teams work visible, celebrate wins, highlight roadblocks through various methods. Supports team rules and norms and protects the team from outside interference; removes impediments for the teams and/or finds the right personnel to remove impediments. Identify, track and manage cross team dependencies. Proactively identify risks and issues that could impact delivery, facilitate risk response planning, and escalate appropriately. Facilitate team collaboration events, as necessary including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Ensures results/impact are fully realized and completed within the agreed timeline and delivered successfully. Demonstrates excellent analytical skills and the ability to remove impediments, facilitating smooth project execution and team progress. Manages Conflict - Handling conflict situations effectively, with a minimum of noise. Methodology Focus (Agile Knowledge & Assessment Skills) - Deep understanding of modern software development , a principles, frameworks, and practices the ability to evaluate and improve teams maturity and performance. Employs Agile-specific metrics and key performance indicators to transparently track and report team progress, enhancing clarity and fostering trust through quantifiable insights into Agile practices. Driving Effective Outcomes - Takes ownership, acts with urgency, and initiates action to turn goals into clear plans, decisions, guardrails, and cadences while navigating ambiguity and change to drive momentum and deliver consistent results. Agile Certification (Certified Scrum Master - CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM) or Safe Scrum Master Certification (SSM) are preferred. This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. Experience: 1-4 years experience working in a software development organization and in an Agile environment as a scrum master demonstrating knowledge and practical experience of the Lean methodology, principles and tools are preferred.
