Data Engineer

Corewell Health is a health system dedicated to providing quality care, and they are seeking a Data Engineer to develop and deploy ETL processes and data solutions. The role involves communicating with data consumers, creating reporting assets, and providing support for data-related incidents.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deploy ELT/ETL processes across multiple sources, targets and tools
• Communicate with data consumers to improve processes connecting to data
• Develop and deploy self-service reporting assets to provide data exploration capabilities to end users
• Develop, create and modify data ingestion pipelines and workflows that align with technical specifications
• Provide support for incidents related to data warehouses, datasets, and data pipelines, including operational support, troubleshooting and maintenance

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or foreign equiv. in computer science, data science, or related
• 36 mths as a Data Engineer, Software Developer, or related
• 1 yr. in the health insurance industry
• 3 yrs: 1) Architecting ETL pipelines using Apache Spark, AWS Glue, and Apache Airflow; 2) Designing cloud-native data architectures using Snowflake; 3) Developing data models using Oracle and MongoDB; and 4) Implementing real-time data streaming and algorithms using Apache Kafka and Apache Spark
