Data Engineer (15)

Seneca Resources Company, LLC is a staffing and consulting firm that provides opportunities for professional growth. They are seeking a Data Engineer to design and develop data infrastructure solutions in the cloud, focusing on data security and compliance, while also optimizing data pipelines.

Responsibilities:

• Designing, developing, and scaling robust data infrastructure solutions in the cloud, including Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, and scalable data platforms
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Python, AWS services, and APIs
• Support continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure data security and compliance, including PII handling through Amazon Macie

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree or 6+ years with a Master's (or equivalent experience)
• Active Secret clearance
• Proven expertise in AWS architecture, cloud data platforms (Data Lakes/Warehouses), and security best practices
• Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, Java, Scala, or R, with experience in data engineering tools such as Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, Kinesis, and related frameworks
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing scalable data pipelines and data warehouses in cloud environments
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills, with ability to lead and support project initiatives
