MNJ SOFTWARE is one of Information Technology’s fastest growing companies, seeking a Security Engineer to participate in design, development, and implementation of architectural deliverables for custom projects. The role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure security compliance and effective incident management.
Responsibilities:
- To deliver aspects of a Security procedure, and/or process that support the security strategy and policy and takes into account risks and appropriate legal and regulatory constraints
- Incident Management decision maker within a defined scope responsible for ensuring that mitigation controls and incident response are appropriate and delivered in a professional manner and against relevant SLA/timescales
- Providing security advice and consultancy to Lines of Business and external customers
- Supports security compliance relationships with national Government or industry bodies
- Produce and support polices, functions and configuration builds to allow implementation of customer projects
- Complete and own integration testing on new products and services, producing all relevant supporting documentation
- Attend meetings on behalf of the team leader and line manager
- Ensure full awareness of the need to safeguard sensitive customer information at all times, so that customers perceive company to be a trustworthy organization
- Effectively engage and communicate clearly in order to motivate and inspire people to deliver
- Understand business unit strategy to enable day to day prioritisation of effort and resource
- Responsible for effective Stakeholder Management including direct customer contact where appropriate
- Awareness of physical security of place of work including securing assets and customer information inline with the relevant security classifications applicable (including things like locking alert monitors) when not in attendance
- Maintain high standard of self-management and use inititave to solve issues and get things done
- Maintain tight control of direct and indirect costs, including T&S, Overtime and use of consumable materials
Requirements:
- Experience: 2-6 yrs

- Knowledge and understanding of atleast three of the following Key technologies/products supported in order to perform indepth troubleshooting and complete complex configuration changes: CheckPoint, Cisco ASA & FirePower, Cisco Network (IOS), Cisco ISE, Juniper-Mandatory, Palo Alto, McAfee/Intel IDS/IPS, Tavve ZoneRanger, Tipping Point IDS/IPS, Bluecoat Proxy SG, FireEye Network & Email Security, Linux/Unix OS, Windows OS
- Intimate knowledge and understanding of TCP/IP & OSI seven-layer model and how data networks are structured and operate
- Maintain appropriate levels of clearance at all times (MPS, NPPV3 & SC clearances at time of writing)
