About this role
iMPROve Health is seeking a Summer Intern to support research and analysis related to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Federal Independent Dispute Resolution (IDR) program. This internship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with healthcare data, conducting research, and presenting findings to support organizational decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Review CMS Federal Independent Dispute Resolution (IDR) Public Use Files and supporting documentation
- Conduct analyses of publicly available Federal IDR data to identify trends, patterns, and key insights
- Summarize findings and develop reports for internal review and discussion
- Assist with data organization, validation, and interpretation
- Present findings and recommendations to project stakeholders as appropriate
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Public Health, Health Administration, Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Healthcare Management, or a related field
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Technical skills in C++, Python, SQL desired
- Experience with data analysis tools
