GT Maritime builds mission-critical maritime cybersecurity and communications software. They are seeking an early-career engineer to design and deliver AI-powered features, integrating commercial AI APIs into a .NET stack for a new product that serves customers at sea.
Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver AI-powered features by calling commercial AI APIs (Claude, AWS Bedrock, OpenAI) within a production .NET codebase
- Help set the integration patterns the team follows — architecture, observability, cost controls, and guardrails from day one
- Advocate for AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Cursor, or equivalent) through pair programming, code examples, and PR reviews
- Build AI features with logging, cost tracking, retries, and guardrails baked in from the start
- Design clean, versioned, observable RESTful APIs
- Ensure reliability in environments where software failure has real-world consequences
