Lynx delivers modular, open standards–based software that transforms how high-assurance, mission-critical edge systems are built, deployed, and maintained. The Software Engineering Manager will lead a cross-functional team of software engineers, ensuring project execution and compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:
- Direct and mentor a cross-functional team of software engineers and contractors. You are responsible for career growth, performance management, and resource allocation
- Own the delivery lifecycle for OS features. You’ll manage timelines, risks, and dependencies, ensuring that "moving fast" never comes at the expense of "moving safely."
- Act as the primary technical interface with external customers and internal stakeholders to capture, analyze, and refine operational capabilities into structured, actionable systems and software requirements
- Deep-dive into complex aerospace and safety-critical technical standards to translate rigorous certification requirements into clear, executable engineering actionable items
Requirements:
- 7+ years in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a management role
- The ability to translate complex technical hurdles into clear project status updates for stakeholders
- Deep expertise in SCRUM/Agile. You know how to make Agile work in environments where 'breaking things' isn't an option
- Must be a US Citizen
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field preferred
- Exposure to safety-critical development processes (DO-178C, ISO 26262)
- Experience developing systems-level software, including virtualization, OS kernels, or hypervisors for x86/ARM
