RGP is creating a future where businesses produce their best work without constraints, and they are seeking a Project Manager to lead their transformational initiative focused on optimizing inventory valuation and cost accounting processes. The role involves collaborating with Finance, Operations, and IT teams to enhance manufacturing cost accounting processes across global facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end implementation of the Inventory and Cost Accounting project across multiple global manufacturing facilities, ensuring alignment with corporate financial policies and manufacturing excellence initiatives
- Partner with plant controllers and operations teams to analyze current inventory valuation methodologies and implement standardized cost accounting practices
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including timeline management, resource allocation, risk mitigation strategies, and stakeholder communication plans
- Drive the implementation of a standard inventory valuation processes across facilities, ensuring consistent application of accounting principles and manufacturing cost methodologies
- Lead cross-functional workshops to gather requirements, document business processes, and validate proposed solutions
- Work with external consultants and system integrators (SI) to implement technical solutions that support improved inventory management and cost accounting practices
- Monitor project metrics and KPIs, providing regular updates to senior leadership on project progress, risks, and mitigation strategies
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
- 7+ years of project management experience in manufacturing operations, with demonstrated success in leading large-scale transformation initiatives
- Strong understanding of manufacturing cost accounting principles, inventory management practices, and operational excellence methodologies
- Experience with ERP systems implementation or optimization projects, particularly in manufacturing environments
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively engage with all levels of the organization, from shop floor to executive leadership
- Experience with change management methodologies and frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, complex environment with multiple competing priorities
- PMP certification preferred
- Six Sigma certification is a plus
- Experience with manufacturing execution systems (MES) and inventory management systems is a plus
