Field IS/Desktop Technician

Retail - Offsite - field work (traveling from store to store; mileage reimbursement approved; using personal vehicle)

Position Summary:

Work approximately 40 hours per week and may include 10 hours with flexing to land at 40 hours. in Albany, NY area. Worker will assist in running service calls and installing computer and printer hardware in client stores. Locations to be visited will be in the local Greater Albany area but can include Kingston NY, Syracuyse and sites in Vermont. Drive times may be an a 5 +hour Round trips. A permanent client FTS employee will provide direction and support on a daily basis. Worker must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation to drive themselves between several client locations on a daily basis. Worker will be reimbursed for miles driven on weekly expense report at client reimbursement rate. Must have previous hardware repair experience, have ability to work on their own, lift 75lbs, work flexible hours, complete required paperwork, and have excellent customer service skills. Schedule will be 40 hours per week and might include weekends and holidays as part of normal workdays. This is not a work from home position, it requires driving to different stores throughout the day.

Duties:

• IT repair and maintenance. Diagnostic and repair of break/fix tickets, equipment replacement and upgrade, ticket status reporting.

Must Haves:

• Previous Field work is a huge plus. (ex. driving site to site, managing tickets, etc.). Please list any experience on top of resume.
• Hardware repair experience
• Have ability to work on their own
• Lift 75lbs
• Work flexible hours

Experience:

• 1 to 3 years of IT break/fix work

Education:

• Highschool diploma or Equivalent

• Monday Thru Friday 8 to 10 hours a day with a max of 40 hours per week.
