Position Summary
UMis seeking an experienced Senior AWS Cloud Administrator with strong PeopleSoft Administration experience to support and maintain enterprise applications hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS). The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience administering cloud infrastructure, supporting PeopleSoft environments, implementing automation, and ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of mission-critical systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 10+ years of overall IT experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on AWS Cloud Administration experience.
- Prior experience as a PeopleSoft Administrator supporting enterprise PeopleSoft applications.
- Strong knowledge of AWS services including:
- EC2
- VPC
- IAM
- S3
- RDS
- CloudWatch
- Route 53
- Elastic Load Balancer
- Auto Scaling
- AWS Backup
- Experience with Linux/Unix administration.
- Strong scripting skills using Shell, Python, or PowerShell.
- Experience administering PeopleTools, WebLogic, Tuxedo, Process Scheduler, Integration Broker, and Oracle Database.
- Experience with application patching, upgrades, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery.
- Experience troubleshooting production issues and performing root cause analysis.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or AWS CloudFormation).
- Experience supporting Agile and DevOps environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Solutions Architect, or DevOps Engineer certification.
- Experience migrating or managing PeopleSoft workloads in AWS.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or containerized deployments.
- Experience with enterprise monitoring and logging tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, monitor, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure supporting enterprise applications.
- Install, configure, upgrade, patch, and support PeopleSoft environments.
- Ensure system availability, security, scalability, and performance.
- Implement cloud security best practices, IAM policies, backup, disaster recovery, and compliance standards.
- Automate operational and administrative tasks using scripting and Infrastructure as Code.
- Collaborate with application, database, network, and security teams to resolve issues and implement enhancements.
- Support production deployments, change management, incident resolution, and performance optimization.
- Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and system architecture documentation.
