The person in this role will assist the Director of Enterprise Architect in managing Alamo Group’s information and technology solution architecture. The IT Manufacturing Solutions Architect plays a pivotal role in designing and delivering integrated technology solutions that support the digital transformation of an equipment manufacturing enterprise.

Alamo Group is hiring a Sr. Business Analyst / Solutions Architect to join our team at our Corporate Headquarters in New Braunfels, TX. In this role, you’ll partner closely with the Director of Enterprise Architecture to help shape and modernize our technology landscape.
You will play a key role in driving digital transformation across a global equipment manufacturing organization—designing practical, scalable solutions that connect business needs with the right technology. Evaluate current systems and identify opportunities to improve performance and efficiency
Design end-to-end solutions that align with business goals
Work closely with business partners, architects, and developers to turn requirements into actionable designs
Lead solution design across core platforms like ERP, MES, CRM, and PLM
Build integration strategies across cloud, on-prem, and edge environments
Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and reliable
Create clear architecture documentation (diagrams, data flows, interfaces)
Stay current on emerging technologies and recommend improvements
Support delivery teams and help ensure solutions are implemented effectively
Participate in architecture reviews and governance processes
Experience designing and delivering IT solutions in manufacturing or industrial environments
Strong understanding of systems like ERP (SAP, Oracle), MES, PLM, and CRM
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
Familiarity with integrations (APIs, microservices, ETL, ESB)
Knowledge of data structures, analytics, and master data management
Ability to balance technical design with business priorities
Strong communication skills and the ability to work across teams
Experience working in Agile or DevOps environments
You think strategically but can execute practically
You’re comfortable navigating both business conversations and technical discussions
You enjoy improving systems and driving meaningful change
Bachelor’s degree in a related field required; Master’s preferred
7+ years of experience in solution architecture or a similar role
Primarily office-based in New Braunfels, TX
Occasional time in manufacturing environments
Up to 10% travel
