Job Description & Summary: A career Merger & Acquisitions
Responsibilities:
PwC’s M&A Tax & Regulatory practice provides end-to-end solutions for different types of domestic and cross-border transactions including mergers, demergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, corporate restructuring, inbound and outbound advisory, transaction and business model structuring, due diligence and family arrangements. The tasks, roles and responsibilities pertaining to the job role of an Assistant Manager will include the following: ● Assist seniors in preparation of client deliverables ● Conducting research on various issues involved and analysing & evaluating implications thereof ● End to end execution of client deliverables ensuring quality and timeliness ● Conducting due diligence on targets ● Client relationship management ● Interaction with Government authorities ● MIS management ● Effective implementation and review of work programmes. Updating the Manager / Associate Director proactively on various work related issues. Coordinating with the Manager/Associate Director on planning and management of assignments
Mandatory skill sets:
§ Thorough technical knowledge of Direct Tax and Corporate laws § Strong technical knowledge of Stamp Duty, FEMA and SEBI Regulations - Working knowledge of valuation parameters & methodology
Preferred skill sets:
● Article ship in Big 4 or prior experience in M&A tax will be an added advantage. ● Other prerequisite skills includes: - Demonstrating innovative and critical thinking in managing projects - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Strong analytical and numerical skills - Well-rounded commercial and economic awareness and understanding of the financial markets - Good interpersonal and networking skills
- Passion for client servicing - Number crunching ability - Excellent eye for detail - Efficiency in MS office and report writing skills - Motivated, creative and decisive in approach to problem solving Ownership and responsibility of clients/tasks delegated
