Senior Solutions Developer, Prototyping and Customer Engineering (PACE)

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the world’s most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform. The Prototyping and Customer Engineering (PACE) team is seeking experienced technologists to partner with customers in crafting innovative solutions and prototypes across various industry verticals. The role requires strong technical depth, interpersonal skills, and the ability to learn new technologies to meet high-quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Engage with customers on a specific use case to determine desired outcomes, define a scope and design and implement it (code, CDK, docs) with a small team of developers in 6 weeks
• Identify opportunities to scale your impact through internal and external facing initiatives
• Mentor others

Requirements:

• 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
• 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
• Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language, such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS
• Experience with iterative, agile development methodologies (including scrum)
• Experience in software development, or experience managing full application stacks from the OS up through custom applications and experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities
• Knowledge of presentations and whiteboarding skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with internal and external executives, IT management, and developers
• Experience building AWS cloud-native serverless solutions using AWS SDK
• You have hands-on experience in one or more of Edge Computing, IOT, AI/ML, Blockchain, mobile development and/or user experience development
