SoTalent is a company focused on manufacturing and innovative technologies. They are seeking a Senior Principal Electrical Integration Engineer to lead the design and integration of advanced electrical systems for high-performance data center environments.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and integration of electrical systems including UPS, power distribution units, and safety controls
- Develop and maintain system diagrams and ensure compliance with industry standards
- Design high-performance three-phase power systems with redundancy and fault protection
- Specify and validate electrical components for medium- and high-voltage applications
- Architect end-to-end power distribution from utility/generator interface to rack-level systems
- Ensure alignment of electrical infrastructure with facility layouts and operational requirements
- Implement strategies for power redundancy, load balancing, and scalability in high-density environments
- Ensure grounding, EMI protection, and thermal management across systems
- Define manufacturing processes including panel building and wiring integration
- Perform electrical analyses such as load calculations, short-circuit and arc flash studies
- Lead design validation, risk assessments, and compliance testing
- Collaborate with suppliers and resolve production or quality issues
- Develop control systems architecture including PLCs, SCADA, and monitoring solutions
- Define control logic, communication protocols, and sensor integration
- Coordinate with software teams for seamless system operation and automation
- Validate system performance through testing and commissioning
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams
- Maintain engineering documentation such as BOMs, test procedures, and change orders
- Drive initiatives focused on cost optimization, scalability, and manufacturability
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 8+ years of experience in electrical design and system integration
- Strong knowledge of power systems, including MV/HV distribution and three-phase infrastructure
- Experience with ECAD tools (AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar)
- Familiarity with electrical analysis tools such as ETAP, SKM, or EasyPower
- Experience supporting facility-level electrical design and implementation
- Master's degree or Professional Engineer (PE) certification
- Experience with data center infrastructure (UPS, switchgear, PDUs, HVAC systems)
- Knowledge of global standards such as UL, CE, IEEE, and RoHS
- Hands-on experience with system fabrication and integration
- Experience collaborating with global suppliers and manufacturing partners
