Safety Engineer

ITCO Solutions, Inc. is seeking an experienced Electrical Life Safety Systems Engineer / Designer to support the design and delivery of life safety and fire alarm systems for complex engineering projects. This role involves designing and developing systems, preparing engineering documentation, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop fire alarm and life safety systems for commercial and industrial facilities
• Prepare engineering drawings, layouts, and construction documentation using Autodesk Revit
• Apply applicable building, fire, and electrical codes throughout the design process
• Coordinate with cross-functional engineering and design teams
• Lead project tasks, manage schedules, and support project execution
• Review system designs to ensure compliance with client requirements and industry standards

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• Experience designing Fire Alarm and Life Safety Systems
• Knowledge of fire alarm equipment and VESDA systems
• Strong understanding of NFPA 72 – Fire Alarm and Signaling Code
• Strong understanding of NFPA 101 – Life Safety Code
• Strong understanding of NFPA 70 (NEC)
• Strong understanding of International Building Code (IBC)
• Strong understanding of International Fire Code (IFC)
• Experience with electrical design and construction documentation
• Experience leading engineering projects and coordinating resources
• 4+ years of Autodesk Revit design experience
• Professional Engineer (PE) license
• Experience with data center projects
• Knowledge of NFPA 13, NFPA 75, NFPA 76, and NFPA 2001
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and designers
• Experience with project estimating and scheduling
