S-5! is the global leader in attachment solutions for metal and single-ply roofs, and they are seeking a Product Marketing & Content Strategist to lead product messaging and content strategy. This role will bridge Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing by translating complex technical information into compelling customer-focused messaging that supports business growth.
Responsibilities:
- Produce well-researched content for publication online and in print, ensuring accuracy, clarity, usefulness and alignment with S-5! brand standards
- Translate product features, benefits, use cases, technical differentiators and market insights into customer-focused value propositions, messaging and content that show how S-5! solutions solve real-world problems
- Partner with product managers, R&D, application engineering, sales, training, marketing, management and other stakeholders to produce: messaging, positioning, messaging frameworks, value propositions, campaign briefs, content direction, website and landing page copy, email copy, brochures, sell sheets, presentations, product descriptions, blogs and video scripts
- Create and maintain sales and marketing enablement materials, including product summaries, positioning documents, competitive overviews, campaign briefs and tools that help sales explain S-5! solutions clearly and consistently
- Conduct market, customer and competitor research to strengthen messaging, identify growth opportunities and create content that reflects what customers value most
- Organize writing schedules, manage drafts and approvals, follow a content calendar and collaborate with the content production team to ensure timely delivery of materials
- Leverage AI tools to accelerate research, writing, editing, content repurposing and workflow efficiency while maintaining technical accuracy and brand standards
- Manage website content using WordPress including publishing, editing, proofreading and optimizing product pages, blogs and landing pages and content using SEO best practices and performance analytics
- Edit existing content for clarity, accuracy, tone, structure, style and impact
- Collaborate with the Web Team on website enhancements while owning content accuracy and quality
Requirements:
- Exceptional writer first and foremost, with excellent writing, editing, messaging, storytelling, grammar and language skills; proven through a professional portfolio
- Minimum of 3 years of marketing communications experience, preferably in building products, manufacturing, solar, roofing, architecture, engineering or industrial markets
- Ability to quickly understand technical products and explain them in plain, compelling language for various audiences
- Experience with product marketing, content strategy, brand messaging, campaign development, sales enablement, content calendars, SEO and performance-driven content
- Strategic mindset: able to see beyond one piece of copy and understand how content supports the buyer journey, sales process, customer education, go-to-market execution and brand position
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects with different objectives simultaneously, including prioritizing, scheduling and adapting as necessary
- Ability to work independently while communicating effectively with colleagues, management and cross-functional teams
- Proficiency with WordPress, Google Docs and Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint; familiarity with customer requirements and S-5!'s brand image, products and services; proficient in AP style
- Experience in metal roofing, construction products, solar, building envelope, architecture, engineering or contractor-focused marketing
- Experience writing technical product content, installation-related content, educational marketing materials, launch materials, blogs, e-newsletters and trade show content
- Familiarity with digital campaigns, marketing automation, HubSpot or CRM-supported sales enablement, analytics, content performance reporting and competitive research
