Job Title: SAP ABAP Developer (SAP PP / Plan to Produce)
Location: Seattle, WA / Dallas, TX / Plano, TX (100% Onsite)
Duration: Contract
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Developer with strong expertise in SAP Production Planning (PP) / Plan to Produce (P2P) processes. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing and enhancing ABAP solutions in SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments while supporting manufacturing and production operations.
Required Skills
- Strong expertise in SAP ABAP development (RICEF, Object-Oriented ABAP)
- Experience developing Classical, Interactive, and ALV Reports
- Hands-on experience with Module Pool Programming and Custom Transactions
- Strong knowledge of BADIs, User Exits, Enhancement Framework, and Enhancement Spots
- Experience with BAPIs, RFCs, IDocs, and SAP Interfaces
- Hands-on experience with SmartForms, SAPscript, and Adobe Forms
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA development, including:
- CDS Views
- Performance-optimized Open SQL
- Code remediation and adaptation for S/4HANA
- Exposure to RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP) is a plus
Functional Experience
Strong experience supporting SAP Production Planning (PP) and manufacturing processes, including:
- Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
- Bill of Materials (BOM)
- Routing
- Production Orders
- Shop Floor / Manufacturing Execution
- Goods Issue (GI) & Goods Receipt (GR)
- Quality Management (QM) integration
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and enhance ABAP RICEF objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms).
- Develop high-quality ABAP programs using procedural and Object-Oriented ABAP.
- Build and maintain integrations using BAPIs, RFCs, IDocs, and APIs.
- Develop and support SmartForms, SAPscript, and Adobe Forms.
- Collaborate with SAP PP and QM functional consultants to deliver scalable manufacturing solutions.
- Develop S/4HANA-ready technical objects using CDS Views and optimized Open SQL.
- Perform code remediation and support SAP S/4HANA migration activities.
- Participate in testing, production support, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA implementations.
- Manufacturing or aerospace industry experience is preferred.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
