DEVITA Inc is a full-service engineering firm currently seeking Mechanical HVAC Engineers to join their growing team. The role involves designing efficient mechanical systems, coordinating with various stakeholders, and ensuring compliance throughout project development.
Responsibilities:
- Designing efficient, cost-effective building mechanical systems for commercial, higher education, institutional, healthcare, hospitality, residential, and light industrial facilities
- Engineering design of HVAC and plumbing systems including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, domestic water, sanitary waste and vent, storm drainage, natural gas, medical gas, rainwater collection, and specialty piping systems
- Performing HVAC load calculations, equipment selection, energy analysis, and mechanical system layout
- Preparing construction documents and supporting code compliance and sustainability considerations throughout project development
- Coordinating closely with architects, structural engineers, electrical engineers, owners, contractors, and other project stakeholders
- Assisting in developing and maintaining project work plans and schedules
- Supporting construction administration activities and troubleshooting during design and construction phases
- Modifying designs following quality control review by senior designers or engineers
- Developing and maintaining project designs using Revit and AutoCAD
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the design and drafting of mechanical building systems with a focus on HVAC and plumbing design
- B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Licensed P.E
- Demonstrated experience with HVAC design including load calculations, equipment selection, and mechanical system coordination
- Experience designing plumbing systems including domestic water, sanitary waste and vent, storm drainage, and specialty piping systems
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP and AutoCAD
- Ability to work independently and as a strong team player
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and MathCAD
