Location: Lisle, IL (Hybrid - 4 days onsite)

Role Overview
Seeking a Senior PHP Commerce Developer with 7+ years of backend development experience and expertise in Spryker Commerce OS (or similar enterprise commerce platforms such as Commerce tools, Adobe Commerce/Magento, Shopify Plus, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Mirakl, BigCommerce, Virto, or Optimizely). The role focuses on developing and maintaining the backend of a B2B eCommerce platform, including enterprise integrations with ERP, OMS, and Dealer Management Systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable backend services using PHP and Spryker Commerce OS (or similar platform).
- Build REST/GraphQL APIs and integration layers connecting ERP, OMS, SAP, CDK, Procede, Karmak, and other enterprise systems.
- Implement order management and returns workflows using commerce platform state machines.
- Design and optimize PostgreSQL/MySQL databases for B2B commerce data models.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, CI/CD, and production deployments.
Required Skills
- 7+ years of backend development experience with PHP.
- Hands-on experience with Spryker Commerce OS or a comparable enterprise commerce platform.
- Strong experience with REST APIs, GraphQL, Redis, Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL/MySQL.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Azure Pipelines/GitHub Actions (CI/CD).
- Exposure to AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar.
