High-Level Overview of the Role:
The Senior Procurement Analyst / Team Lead will play a pivotal role in managing procurement activities for Data Center Operations and Critical Infrastructure within a newly established procurement department at DataBank. This individual will oversee end-to-end procurement processes, collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders, and ensure compliance with due diligence protocols. The ideal candidate is highly organized, an effective communicator, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment. This role will also partner closely with the Procurement Manager and Procurement Director to help build and develop a team.
This role requires the ability to negotiate pricing and contract terms with a focus on data center-related vendor agreements, ensure proper vendor onboarding, enable cross team due diligence reviews, manage contracts, within the company’s contract management system (CMS), and proactively track agreements in advance of renewal dates.

Responsibilities:
Procurement Operations
- Manage and prioritize purchase request queues
- Support vendor selection and onboarding activities
- Negotiate purchase pricing and contract terms with appropriate guidance and oversight
- Oversee applicable due diligence workflow reviews for each purchase
- Support policy updates, changes and training initiatives
- Collaborate on implementing and enforcing newly created procurement procedures, policies, and training while ensuring organizational adherence
- Be able to navigate an evolving environment while collaborating with internal team on best approach and practices
- Shows leadership potential and a desire to grow into a people-management role.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Stakeholder and Vendor Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal data center teams, requesters, reviewers, due diligence approvers, procurement team members, and vendors
- Communicate clearly, set expectations, and provide a high level of customer service to all stakeholders
- Coordinate vendor onboarding and support ongoing supplier engagement activities
Contract Management
- Review, route, edit, and manage contracts in accordance with company policies and approval requirements
- Maintain accurate contract records in the contract management system and ensure documentation is complete and current
- Monitor key contract dates, including renewals and expirations, and proactively coordinate next steps with stakeholders
Qualifications:
Required Experience
- 3+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain, contract administration, or a related field
- 2+years of experience as a people manager
- Experience supporting procurement activities in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders effectively
- Experience negotiating pricing, terms, and vendor agreements
- Experience with vendor onboarding, due diligence, and contract lifecycle processes is strongly preferred
