AECOM is a leader in the global data center consulting industry, and they are seeking an Electrical Engineer with expertise in the design and delivery of colocation and hyperscale data center facilities. The role involves designing electrical systems for large-scale data centers and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement electrical systems for hyper-scale data centers, including medium and low-voltage power distribution, backup power systems, and emergency systems
- Responsible for electrical calculations and development of drawings in accordance to client specifications and industry standards
- Develop and maintain electrical schematics, bills of materials, and installation drawings
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations, including National Electric Code (NEC)
- Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to develop specifications, design criteria, and project budgets
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in electrical engineering and data center technologies
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering with 6+ years of MEP design experience
- Experience with colocation and hyperscale data center projects
- Experience working in Revit and ACC
- Experience working in power system analysis such as SKM, or ETAP
- Strong knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC), Building codes including IBC and IECC
- Professional Engineer License (P.E.)
- Familiarity with mission critical infrastructure standards, and data center design requirements
- Experience with data center design and construction, including design criteria and industry standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
