Construction Safety Engineer

Hidani Tech is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Construction Safety Engineer to join their expanding team. The role involves developing, implementing, and managing safety programs across various construction projects to ensure compliance with regulations and promote a strong safety culture.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and oversee construction safety policies, procedures, and site-specific safety programs
• Conduct routine site inspections, safety audits, hazard assessments, and risk evaluations to identify potential safety concerns
• Investigate workplace incidents, determine root causes, and recommend corrective and preventive actions
• Prepare safety reports, inspection records, incident documentation, training materials, and regulatory compliance reports
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and site personnel to promote a strong safety culture
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, local building codes, environmental requirements, and company safety standards
• Conduct safety orientations, toolbox talks, emergency response drills, and employee safety training programs
• Support project planning, scheduling, and construction activities by integrating safety best practices throughout all project phases

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, Occupational Safety, Safety Engineering, or a related discipline
• Experience in construction safety management, field engineering, site supervision, or EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety)
• Proficiency with safety management systems, incident reporting software, Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, or related construction management tools
• Strong understanding of hazard identification, risk assessment, accident prevention, fall protection, and construction safety procedures
• Knowledge of OSHA standards, construction regulations, environmental compliance, and industry best practices
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative work environment
• Experience with digital safety management platforms and construction project management systems
• Familiarity with confined space entry, crane and rigging safety, excavation safety, lockout/tagout procedures, and emergency preparedness
• Professional certifications such as OSHA 30, CSP, CHST, ASP, or progress toward certification is an advantage
• Exposure to residential, commercial, industrial, heavy civil, or infrastructure construction projects
