Understory is a leading provider of insurance solutions built for the era of climate change, and they are seeking an Underwriter to assess and price risk for innovative insurance products. This role involves directing the underwriting process, developing strategies for business growth, and collaborating with various teams to manage client relationships.

Responsibilities:

• Directing the assessment, underwriting, and pricing of complex property and casualty commercial insurance risks
• Guiding the review of insurance applications to gauge the degree of risk involved accurately
• Steering the development of innovative underwriting strategies to achieve business growth and profitability
• Collaborating closely with sales, customer service, and senior management teams to manage, retain, and grow our client base
