Job Title: DevOps Engineer
Location: Remote - USA
Primary Responsibilities:
- Configure and fine-tune AWS WAF rules to protect applications from security threats and vulnerabilities
- Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines for development, staging, and production environments with automated build, test, and deployment processes
- Implement test gates, quality checks, and rollback mechanisms to ensure safe and reliable releases
- Create and maintain monitoring solutions using Amazon CloudWatch dashboards, logs, and alarms
- Enable distributed tracing and observability using AWS X-Ray and perform advanced log queries for troubleshooting
- Develop and maintain operational runbooks, incident response procedures, and SLA monitoring frameworks
- Define and enforce tagging strategies and lifecycle policies for cost optimization and governance
- Manage production deployments using CDK, including DNS configuration and TLS/SSL setup
- Collaborate closely with frontend and backend teams to streamline deployments and improve system reliability
Experience and Skills Required:
- 9-13 years of experience in DevOps and Strong hands-on experience with AWS
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK) or Terraform
- Proven experience in building and managing CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, AWS Code Pipeline)
- Strong knowledge of cloud security practices, including WAF, IAM, and network security
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools (CloudWatch, X-Ray, logging frameworks)
- Experience with DNS, TLS/SSL, and production-grade deployments
- Knowledge of cost optimization strategies, tagging policies, and lifecycle management
- Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and incident management skills
- Good communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional team.
